About This Game Solstice is a very retro wargame, heavily inspired by the classic games Lords of Midnight, Doomdarks Revenge and Sorderon's Shadow. I got a good 5+ hours play out of it, and saw a couple of the endings. The artwork is beautiful.. Playing this visual novel was a very enjoyable experience, I liked the choices that were given and was interested enough in the story to figure out all the different endings. The art + mini-animations were charming and brought a lot to the gameplay. I'm sorry, but this is Not my cup of tea.If you like more playing computer games than reading them, then I can't recommend this game.If you like reading the story and make one choise now and then, then it could be a good game.. Wonderful experience. As the game says about itself - it's a lot like reading a book.. This is an AMAZING game. Don't listen to game-snobs. It's immersive, with incredible atmospheric music and gorgeous visuals. I love role playing games, and this was a slightly different take -- it's basically a choose-your-own-adventure story with multiple different endings. I've played through about 8 times now, and found a lot of them. This was a passion-filled and exciting escape from all the hubbub of everyday life. I'm gonna go try the maker's other games now - I hope they're as good with as great a story.. this game is sensational!the art is a breath of fresh air and has improved a lot since cinders (and it was really good back then, too) though it still keeps the same vibe that set it apart from everything else at the time. the story is really rich, the characters are very nuanced and everything is so extremely well-written - it's a delight to read! i was especially glad about how the romance subplots were handled - they are completely optional and take a backseat, only developing in the measure the main story allows them to, feeling completely natural and as delightful to read as the rest of the game.i still haven't worked on getting more endings, but one playthrough is enough to say that this was money well spent. if you like visual novels, this is a definite must, and even if you don't, the beautiful art and fantastic setting and plot might convince you to give this a shot. what moacube does is unique and their attention to detail is priceless, so i can't wait to play their next works!. Short version: good story, lots of moving parts that make it difficult to find the "good end." I was surprised to learn we have a secret role. Sometime I don’t remember how I got someone’s trust. It’s a good idea to put doubt on the core of evil. It’s a shame to often need to make a team to get out from a trap. At the hidden chamber, there’s a tree with apples twirling like she’s touching the forbidden fruit. She forgets she won’t be free this way ! I was a bit surprised to learn who’s guilty. As we replay we notice he/she often says what he/she doesn’t think. Yakone ruins Kala myth quite fast but her vision is well-thought when she says it’s for obedience . Kasiya is nonchalant, he’ll tell why.Replaying brings more info to enlighten facts.
